In The Seventh Daughter, Chiang takes us back to her native China in the early days of the twentieth century, telling tales of her journey from privileged Beijing daughter to young wife and mother in Tokyo to successful San Francisco entrepreneur. Along the road, Chiang shares seventy-five recipes that showcase the simplicity of authentic Chinese home cooking.
